Use the padded top seat for everyday wheelchair seating, then remove it when you need the commode seat below. This 2-in-1 chair includes a lidded bucket, armrests and footrests, with a frame that folds when you need to store it.
FOR MOVEMENT AND PERSONAL CARE
You can prepare the same wheelchair for getting around at home or for commode use. The removable top seat keeps those two uses distinct, so you and your caregiver can set the chair up for each part of the day.
HOW THE TOP SEAT WORKS
Remove the padded top seat to reach the commode seat underneath. The bucket comes out for emptying and cleaning, with a lid and carrying handle to help you handle it after use.
Follow the supplied instructions to change the seat setup. Make sure the seat and bucket are fitted correctly, and apply the brakes before stationary commode use.
AROUND THE CHAIR
Large rear wheels and 360° swivelling front castors help you move and turn. Rear push handles give your caregiver a place to assist when needed.
Rest your arms on the padded armrests and your feet on the flip-up footrests. Fit and use the included seat belt as directed in the supplied instructions.
Apply the manual wheel brakes to keep the chair stationary. Check them before use, and follow the instructions for parking, commode use and transfers.
MEASURE YOUR SPACE
The chair’s listed open size is 40 × 26 × 35 inches, and it folds to a width of 12 inches. Its listed weight is 17 kg, so consider both the available space and the help you may need to handle it.
Check your doorways, turning room and storage space against the chair’s dimensions. If you plan to take it in a vehicle or use it in a bathroom, confirm the fit there too.
USING YOUR 2-IN-1 CHAIR
Use the supplied assembly and unfolding instructions. Check that the frame is fully open, the seat is secure and the wheels, brakes and footrests are working correctly.
Have a caregiver assist as needed. Apply the brakes before transfers or stationary commode use, and use the transfer method recommended for the person in the chair.
Clean the bucket, seat and contact surfaces after use as instructed. Dry the parts thoroughly and follow the manual before folding the chair.
